BASE is one of the world's most voluminous search engines especially for academic web resources. The index contains more than 400 million records from more than 12,000 content providers. You can access the full texts of about 60% of the indexed records for free (Open Access). BASE is operated by Bielefeld University Library.

CORE (COnnecting REpositories) provides a comprehensive bibliographic database of the world’s scholarly literature, collecting and indexing research from repositories and journals. It is, to our knowledge, also the world’s largest collection of full text open access research papers. CORE is a not-for-profit community-governed service dedicated to the open access mission and one of the signatories of the Principles of Open Scholarly Infrastructures POSI.

PubMed® comprises more than 40 million citations for biomedical literature from MEDLINE, life science journals, and online books. Citations may include links to full text content from PubMed Central and publisher web sites.

The definitive database for electrical engineering, electronics, computer science, robotics, telecommunications, and bioengineering. It contains a large percentage of the global literature in these fields.
